JIND: A team of Kerala Police led by IPS officer Deepak Dhankhar conducted raids in several villages of Jind district in connection with the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) examination held on August 20 in Thiruvananthapuram in which six youths were caught cheating.
Jind SP Sumit Kumar told the TOI that local police are cooperating with the investigation teams.
Notably, during the examination, six youths were caught cheating in three examination centers in Thiruvananthapuram.
They were identified as Jagdish, Sonu, Amit, Manoj Kumar and Gautam Chauhan of Jind district. Reportedly, apart from these six youths, 12 more youths of the district are on the radar of Kerala Police where raids are being conducted.
Kerala police reached Jind district on Thursday and their crackdown was continued on Friday.
Moreover, Kerala Police will examine all the 85 candidates who wrote the examination. It is expected that the Kerala police team will remain here for a few more days. The Haryana and Kerala police team raided Durjanpur and Kakraud villages of Uchana town and searched the houses of the accused.
