KURUKSHETRA: A man, his wife and their seven-year-old son were killed after being hit by a speeding dumper truck which was being driven on the wrong side of the road in Ladwa area of Kurukshetra district on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Tony (31), his wife Deepika Rani (29), and Naksh (7) of Gundiana village in Yamunanagar district.
The police have arrested the accused dumper driver Jatinder Kumar (24), who will be produced before the court on Thursday.
On the complaint of Tony’s brother Rajesh Kumar, the police registered a case against the driver of the dumper under Section 279 (rash driving), 304-A (causing death by negligence), and 427 (mischief) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Ladwa police station on Tuesday.
A police said that the post-mortem examination of all the three deceased was conducted on Wednesday, and their bodies were handed over to their family members for last rites.
