The order was given by MCG commissioner PC Meena during a meeting on Thursday.
The scheme, introduced by the state government in 2021, grants ownership of a commercial land that has been rented or leased out by the municipality for over 20 years.
The applicant should be the occupier of the land for 20 years as on December 31, 2020, to be eligible for its registry.
“The commissioner directed the officials to ensure that the reason for rejecting the applications should be valid. He also asked them to assist the applicants in paper work and give maximum approvals in compliance with the norms,” SS Rohilla, MCG spokesperson, said.
