Gurgaon: A 46-year-old man was crushed to death by a dumper near Chamela Dhaba in Jharsa on Friday. A case was registered under IPC sections 279 (rash driving) and 304A (death by negligence) on the same day, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Nasir Hussain, a resident of Chholas Saadat village in Gautam Budh Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh.
A complaint was filedby Hussain’s cousin Kambar Ali, who was present at the spot, at Sadar police station on Friday. According to Ali, he and his cousin had been on their way to work at a sofa shop on Ali’s motorcycle around 12.15pm when the incident occurred.
“As we passed by Chamela Dhaba near Bakhtawar Chowk, a high-speed dumper collided with our motorcycle from behind. Both of us were thrown onto the ground. I landed on the left side, while my cousin became trapped beneath the dumper. The rear tyres of the dumper ran over his head, leading to instantaneous death,” Ali said in the complaint.
According to the SHO of Sadar police station, they have taken custody of the dumper involved in the incident. A post-mortem has been conducted and the body was released to the family.
“The accused is on the run, and no arrests have been made thus far,” the SHO said.
