Gurugram, India – On May 26, 2023, the Nuh police made a significant breakthrough by apprehending four individuals in connection with a robbery incident that took place on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway. The suspects were accused of robbing ₹4.60 lakh from a truck driver after using chili powder to temporarily incapacitate him.

The arrested individuals were identified as Sukhwinder Singh, who was the co-driver of the truck, Pramod Kumar, Jatin Chand, and Naveen Kumar. The co-driver played a pivotal role in the crime as he tipped off his associates about the cash they had collected from Bawana in Delhi after delivering iron rods to a firm.

According to the Nuh police, the incident occurred on May 23 when the truck was intercepted near Khor Basai village in Rojka Meo. The driver, Chanderbhan Singh from Sohna, reported that three unidentified individuals armed with iron rods assaulted him and robbed ₹4.05 lakh in cash. The driver further stated that during the robbery, the suspects threw chili powder in his eyes but did not harm the co-driver, Sukhwinder Singh.

Upon receiving the complaint, a police team from the Rojka Meo police station swiftly responded to the scene and initiated an investigation. As they recorded the statements of the complainant, suspicions arose regarding the involvement of the co-driver in the crime. The police gathered call detail records and interrogated Sukhwinder Singh, who eventually confessed to orchestrating the robbery due to urgent financial requirements.

Sukhwinder Singh revealed that he had planned the entire incident, informing his associates about the presence of cash in the truck. The police promptly arrested the suspects from different locations and successfully recovered the stolen cash and the motorcycle used during the robbery.

Following their arrest, the four individuals were presented before a court and subsequently remanded to 14-day judicial custody on Friday. The Nuh police have effectively solved the case, ensuring that the perpetrators face legal consequences for their actions.

The swift response and diligent investigation by the Nuh police serve as a testament to their commitment to maintaining law and order in the region. Such actions reinforce the importance of effective law enforcement in deterring and apprehending individuals involved in criminal activities.
