NOIDA: Police arrested three persons following a raid on a factory located in Noida’s Sector-63. The factory was found to be engaged in the production of counterfeit nutritional supplements, which were being circulated to gyms across the Delhi-NCR.
ADCP (Central) Rajeev Dikshit said that the accused have been identified as Amit Kumar Saw, Ajay Singh and Roshan, all of whom hailed from Jharkhand. Amit was the leader of the gang. The trio resided in rented accommodations in Noida. A significant quantity of adulterated food supplements was seized from the factory. Samples have been sent to a laboratory for testing.
The accused had been employed at a reputable company in Gurugram that manufactured food supplements for nearly two years. After learning the trade there, Amit decided to produce his own food supplements and make a hefty profit by selling them in the market. During this time, the accused came into contact with an individual named Yash. Subsequently, they rented a house to initiate the production of adulterated food supplements and started earning significant profits.
The seized items include adulterated food supplements, raw materials, packaging, and printing machines. Yash is currently absconding. Sector-63 police station in-charge Amit Kumar Maan revealed that the apprehended suspects were luring gym operators with better commissions, enticing them to sell their food supplements.
