GURGAON: The state government invited objections and suggestions from the public and stakeholders on Saturday after the delimitation exercise in the district was completed.
The suggestions and objections can be submitted within 10 days. According to the notification, 36 wards have been proposed for the city. The existing number of wards in Gurgaon is 35.
DLF-1 is supposed to come under the proposed ward number 23. Palam Vihar Extension is now proposed to be a part of ward number 3. It has been suggested that Udyog Vihar 6 be under ward number 9, Badshapur under ward number 18, Rosewood City, South City 2, and Nirvana Country be proposed under ward number 15, and Malibu Towne be proposed to be under ward number 11.
“Notice is hereby given that the draft notification shall be taken into consideration by the state government on or after the expiry of a period of 10 days from the date of publication of this notification in the official gazette, together with objections and suggestions, if any, which may be received by the commissioner and secretary to the Haryana government, Urban Local Bodies department through deputy commissioner, Gurgaon, from any person in respect of the draft notification before the expiry of the period so specified,” read the notification issued late on August 26.
As per the Haryana Municipal Corporation Delimitation Ward (Amendment) Rules, 2023, the delimitation has been done on the basis of Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) and election data, whichever is higher after adding 40% to the population as per the electoral data.
